Industrial Paint

Paint is an integral part of any project. It makes bare walls and new construction visually appealing, but certain coatings can define the job. Industrial paints can provide weather resistance, moisture resistance, durability, and traction. PPG materials are used across all industries, from airport hangers to healthcare facilities, marine docks, and school buildings. As a PPG Premier Authorized Dealer, we are proud to combine the confidence in PPG products with our over ninety years of industry expertise. Our industrial services include the right tools and materials to make any project appealing and protected for years to come—and as quickly as possible.

Industrial Coatings

At 21st Century Paints, we carry only the highest-performing coatings for the most demanding industries, thanks to our PPG products. Our coatings give surfaces resistance to weathering, meaning fewer scuffs and scrapes, resistance to moisture for less rust and rot, and resistance to UV light for less cracking and fading. Combined with our coatings’ high coverage, that’s less product necessary for your project and less money from your pocket. We keep our shelves up-to-date on the latest innovative products, so your project never falls behind.

OEM

We carry OEM (original equipment manufacturer) paints for the most unique industries. PPG supplies coatings for aerospace vehicles, automotives, marine structures, traffic technologies, and even product labels and eyeglass lenses. As a PPG supplier, 21st Century Paints takes care to find the specific coating for your job.

What to Look For:

PPG Amerlock® Series: The PPG Amerlock® Series is a collection of protective epoxy coatings for the most demanding industrial jobs. They feature corrosion resistance and minimal need for surface preparation. The versatility of Amerlock® makes it an exceptional coating solution for a wide range of industries: it protects surfaces in a single coat and is approved for infrastructure, marine, petrochemical, rail, power, OEM, water, and wastewater use. The Amerlock® 2 is particularly prized for its fast drying time and low odor, and it is approved for contact with potable water and FDA-approved for direct food contact.

PITT-GUARD® DTR Epoxy Mastic is a self-priming stainless steel paint for new and old steel. It tolerates minimally prepared surfaces and even allows application over top of existing rust.

AQUAPON® WB Epoxy is a two-component waterborne epoxy that is wear-resistant, making it suitable on floors and vertical surfaces vulnerable to impact and abrasion.

PITTHANE® ULTRA Urethane is a high gloss acrylic coating that can be easily reapplied, though minimal touch-ups—this paint features incredible resistance to weathering and exceptional color and gloss retention. Its uses include dry docking, inland marine, mining, commercial buildings, and stadiums and venues.

PPG Aquacron® 880 is a water-based, cost-effective topcoat for industrial equipment, fabricated metal, and buildings, giving surfaces additional strength with only one layer.

PITT-TECH® Plus Interior/Exterior DTM Industrial Enamel is a 100% waterborne acrylic formula that boasts better color and gloss retention than other alkyds and water-based formulas. It is flash rust-resistant and functions well as paint for metal roofs and siding. It is easily cleaned up with soap and water.

Coronado® Rust Scat® is a protective coating that prevents rusting on metal surfaces. Rust Scat® Polyurethane Enamel comes as a primer or in gloss, semi-gloss, and satin finishes that can be applied over previously painted surfaces.

7-LINE® Interior/Exterior Industrial Gloss Oil is an industrial gloss oil alkyd topcoat. It is easily applied by brush, oil, and spray for painter's convenience. It can be tinted and provides a high gloss coat to interior and exterior surfaces in commercial buildings and among fossil, power, rail, and infrastructural industries.

Choosing Your Industrial Coating

Choosing which industrial coating to use will ultimately depend on the job. Certain materials perform best in certain situations: Amerlock® 2, for example, can be applied in suboptimal conditions that cause damp surfaces. Acrylic paints like PITT-TECH® Plus are low odor and quick drying for jobs with strict requirements and tight schedules. Polyurethane coatings like PITTHANE® Ultra Urethane are high gloss and stand up to wet conditions, allowing them to perform well in marine environments. Alkyd paints like the 7-LINE® industrial gloss oil are enamel finishes with a similar consistency to oil paints, though they contain no oil; they are not commonly used on walls but instead on metal and wood and special surfaces that require a particular chemical binding. The expert 21st Century Paints team is prepared to recommend our customers the best industrial paint for them and their jobs, thanks to our wide selection of high-performing PPG coatings.
